The creative story began in 1995 inside an elementary school music room, exploring African tribal rhythms, classical masterworks from Mozart and Beethoven, and percussion instruments like xylophones, marimbas, steel drums, and bells, all alongside classical Renaissance theater pieces like the story of Icarus. By 2001, an opera-trained music teacher introduced the Appalachian dulcimer. Rather than following rigid single-note strums, intuition pushed for upward and downward strumming and custom fret patterns—igniting a lifelong love for dulcimers and the modal sounds that later led to the Seagull Merlin dulcitar. A visiting beatboxer showed that rhythm could be constructed out of thin air, allowing full musical structures to form in the mind despite a hearing loss.

At 16, a six-piece forest green Taye drum set arrived, channeling the spirit of Phil Collins and shifting cheap electric keyboards to fast-paced pop-punk drumming played entirely by ear. Concurrently, childhood television shows like Trading Spaces, This Old House, and Antiques Roadshow inspired handwritten notebooks detailing fashion, interior design, and architecture. By the 2005–2006 internet boom, those notes expanded into five encyclopedia-sized reference binders alongside a passion for culinary baking and grilling passed down from mother and grandparents.

At age 24, a pivotal shift occurred: stepping beyond acoustic playing and live drumming into independent music production, learning to compose, arrange, and construct multi-layered recordings from the ground up.

Reinvention, Sound & The Birth of Stíl Solas (2026)

Over the past year, years of production experience coalesced into a profound artistic reinvention. Discovering a true sense of self and an authentic musical identity, a distinct signature sound emerged: contemporary pop woven with a warm, organic folk feel. Today, this body of work is published across major digital streaming services under the artist name Andi Rose Damman on Spotify, fulfilling a lifelong dream of sharing original music with the world.

On September 9th, 2026, literary goals were realized with the publication of The Bell Above the Door, a book born out of a love for poetry and romance.

This lifelong culmination of design notebooks, culinary rituals, and acoustic artistry led to the founding of Stíl Solas in August 2026—a digital lifestyle magazine serving as a unified sanctuary. In September 2026, the brand expanded into a luxury e-commerce boutique offering high-end, sustainably crafted candles, throw blankets, and accent furniture, turning every living space into a serene, intentional spa.
